Job Description

The Hutto Family YMCA in Hutto, TX  is seeking energetic, responsible, team oriented individuals to work as a Counselor in our Chilwatch Center. Applicant must be able to work a combination of shifts which would include Monday thru Friday 8am to 1pm or 4pm to 8pm (school year), Saturdays from 8am to 1:00pm. Kids night out at least once a month from 5:00pm to 11:00pm and Family Friday at least once a month from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.

This is a Part-Time position. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

 Skills/ Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age;
  • Applicants MUST be available to work various shifts Monday thru Friday as well as Saturdays, Sundays and Special Events;
  • Candidates will need to have prior experience interacting with children, such as at a day care center, a school, or a Mother’s Day Out program;
  • Must be committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children;
  • Must possess strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to be certified within first 30 days of employment;

Individuals must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check.
