Hutto Family YMCA in Hutto, TX is seeking Pool Managers for pools in the city of Taylor to join our team. We are looking for applicants that are available to manager our aquatic facility Tuesday through Sunday.  We are looking for seasonal applicants.

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Pool Manager will assist in the supervision and management of the facilities and staff. This includes the safe operation of all aquatic facilities, effective supervision of staff and volunteers, member satisfaction, development and implementation of programs, community outreach, maintenance & record keeping. Focus will be on providing a safe and clean atmosphere for pool patrons. Success of this position requires the ability to safely lead staff and volunteers in areas of program development, as well as teaching classes, train, and assume a variety of Aquatics hands-on roles as needed. Must be highly motivated, organized, personable and enthusiastic.

  • Part-Time seasonal position
  • Must attend weekly staff in service trainings as part of the staff team.
  • Responsible for finding substitute when needed and reporting substitution(s) to Aquatics Coordinator/Director.
  • Build member relations.
  • Maintain equipment and keep area clean.

Age: Must be 18 years or older.
Pay: $15.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.

Certifications: YMCA or ARC Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (ASHI or ARC), First Aid (ASHI or ARC), and Oxygen Administration (ASHI or ARC). YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor or Red Cross WSI certification desired. (need to have 30 days after hire date), Classes available at local YMCAs. Must hold a CPO certification (acquire within 30 days)



  • Minimum one year aquatic facilities management or minimum of 3 years previous lifeguard experience.
  • Experience with and knowledge of pool maintenance and proper water chemistry is needed.
  • Must demonstrate swimming ability.
  • References, criminal history background check, Sex Offender Registry check, and pre-employment drug screen are required of all hired applicants.
