Job Description

Exciting career opportunity for a motivated professional to join our team.  Come work for a rapidly growing YMCA located just north of historic Austin, Texas  http://www.roundrocktexas.gov/.  The camp facility has 34,000 square feet of programmed space, as well as 5 acres of sports fields, a 55 acre park that serves over 700 kids daily in summer camp as well as off-season corporate events and programs, and a resident camp.  The Twin Lakes Family Y has an annual budget of $4.2 million and over 5,000 membership units.  The facility has 54,000 square feet of programmed space, a natatorium, outdoor pool/splash area, cardio theatre, and two group exercise rooms.

**Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

Manage related projects, maintain facility budget, hiring, training and ensuring a clean facility; participate in regular inspections, ensure repairs are completed timely, provide preventive maintenance; Maintain supplies and inventory.   Working knowledge of central plant operations, preventative maintenance practices, chemical usage, MSDS, swimming pool, and air conditioning systems.  Experience managing an aquatics center, landscape and janitorial contracts.  Working knowledge of basic trades: plumbing, electrical, and carpentry preferred.

Qualifications:

Success in this position requires 5+ years of facilities and maintenance experience and at least one year of supervisory experience.  A bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have good interpersonal, public relations, and communication skills.  Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, peers, volunteers, and supervisor.  Ability to effectively communicate general information on YMCA Programs.  Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
